PUMPKIN CARVING
The Spencers do enjoy carving and decorating their Halloween pumpkins. Usually culled from the U-Pick pumpkin patches at any of several farms right here in Independence, each year we challenge ourselves to find the perfect pumpkin and to come up with something fun to create from it. Below are past years efforts, placed here to help us avoid duplications and remind us of years gone by.
2018 - Tough year for pumpkin carving. Derek's away at College, Mom is working. Jordan makes hers at LOC, Dad carves a quick one on Halloween. The wizard appears at a City Council workshop.
2017 - The tradition continues.......
2016 Erin joined us for pumpkin carving this year! Pumpkins from Jim Jacobs farm
2015 - Carved with Grandma Dorothy when she was in town for Derek's confirmation
2014 - Blank-O. Tough spring for pumpkin growers so by the time we found a last minute hole in our schedules the pumpkins were gone! First no pumpkin year in many for us..........
